Web Terminal

The Control Center secure web terminal provides terminal access to Local Managers that does not require any installed applications. The browser client securely logs in the current Control Center user to the Local Manager without requiring additional authentication. RSSH must be enabled on the Local Manager to use the web terminal.

If SSH port forwarding is required, the native Terminal Application should be used instead of the web terminal.

Usage

Terminal access is established using the SSH button on the Control Center. Clicking the SSH button opens the terminal according to whatever action was last picked from the SSH menu. To force the web terminal, click the chevron next to the SSH button and select the Open browser terminal option on the SSH menu. The web terminal opens in a new browser tab, authenticates you with the Local Manager, and logs you into system resource, which gives you CLI access to the Local Manager.

To end the terminal session, type 'exit' or close the browser tab.

Note

The web terminal can be disabled by editing /etc/sysconfig/embassy.overrides. Please contact Lantronix Support if you have questions about disabling the web terminal.
