Exporting Configuration

This feature is only applicable to supported CoBos-based Lantronix external device servers (UDS, xPress DR, xPort-03/04/05, xDirect, xPico).

Lantronix Provisioning Manager allows you to export configuration files on a per-device basis. The exported configuration files can then be used to update or restore these settings to additional devices of the same type.

Export Configuration Steps

To export a device configuration file:

  1. Click Provision on the side menu.
  2. Select a CoBos-based device; do not select more than one.
  3. Click Export Configuration; if a non-supported device is selected you will not be able to click this option.

  4. In the window that appears, click the checkbox(es) to select one or more Setup Records; grayed out Setup Records cannot be selected. Select Setup Records

  5. Click Save. In the dialog box that appears, select a location and filename (the default is "setuprecord.rec") for the configuration file, then click Save.

  6. If successful, a dialog box will appear to confirm the file has been saved. Click OK.
