Using Batch Mode

Batch Mode allows you to perform multiple provisioning operations on one or more devices of the same device type.

Note

All batch mode operations are described below. The actual tasks you see will depend on the device type you select.

Batch Mode Preparation

Each operation has different tasks that need to be done before the operation. See the following sections for what must be done before performing the related batch mode operation:

Batch Mode Procedure

For each Batch Mode setting:

  • Enter the required information, then click Next or press Enter to save the entered values and proceed to the next setting.
  • Click Skip to ignore any entered values and proceed to the next setting.
  • Click Cancel to cancel all settings and exit Batch Mode.
  1. Click Provision on the side menu.
  2. Select one or more devices. They must all be the same type of device (for example, all SLB devices).
  3. Click Batch Mode.
  4. The first Batch Mode setting lets you configure Firmware Update settings.
  5. If you selected IoT devices, the Filesystem Upload configuration settings appear.
  6. If the selected devices support central management in Percepxion, the Project Import settings appear.
  7. If the selected devices support central management in Percepxion, the Automatic Device Registration settings appear.
  8. The last screen shows the Configuration Update settings.
If you want to upload configuration files, provide the required information and click Finish or press Enter. If you do not want to update configuration, click Skip & Finish.

LPM will now perform all configured batch operations.

Check the Operation Status and Progress columns to see the progress of the batch process. These columns will reflect the status of the most recent step of the batch process.

What happens if an operation fails?

If an operation fails, batch mode will stop, and any subsequent operations will not be performed.
