Registering Telematics Gateways

Use Lantronix Provisioning Manager to register Lantronix telematics gateway devices to ConsoleFlow. This requires an Internet connection on the computer running Lantronix Provisioning Manager as well as a ConsoleFlow account.

Lantronix Provisioning Manager supports registration to ConsoleFlow for the following telematics devices:

  • Lantronix BOLERO40 Series Telematics Gateway
  • Lantronix FOX3 Series Telematics Gateway

To connect a computer to the telematics gateway:

  1. Connect the device to the computer using an available serial port, then power on the device.
  2. Click Telematics Gateways on the side menu.
  3. If a device is connected to the computer via serial, that COM port will be shown. If the COM port is not shown, check the serial connection between the device and the PC, then click the refresh button.
  4. Select the appropriate COM port tile and click Connect. If successful, a window showing the device information will appear:

To import a telematics gateway to a ConsoleFlow project:

  1. In the device information window shown above, click the Project Import radio button.
  2. Enter the project administrator Username and Password.
  3. Click Continue to begin.
  4. A window appears showing the operation status. When finished, LPM displays the message "Device registered successfully to Project Admin account".
  5. Click Done.

To register a telematics gateway to a Tenant Admin account:

  1. In the device information window shown above, click the Registration radio button.
  2. Enter the ConsoleFlow Username, Password, Portal, and Organization.
  3. Click Continue to begin.
  4. A window appears showing the operation status. When finished, LPM displays the message "Device registered successfully to Tenant Admin account".
  5. Click Done.
